I have been answering questions consistently for about 4 months now on the Salesforce success community. In that time i have taken part in many questions and answers and wanted to share my observations.
Scenario: You go to the Answers page and you open a question that has already been answered but it's still unsolved. The question you should ask yourself is " am I adding value to the answer?" If yes, then PLEASE do post your answer, if not then there will be plenty more questions!
Before I go any further we are all guilty of some or all of these at some point : )

Don't get me wrong, screenshots and videos are great and help walk users through issues, but sometimes the answer is straight forward enough to inform the user of the solution without the fluff...

Salesforce.com Inc. is a global cloud computing company headquartered in San Francisco, California. Though best known for its customer relationship management (CRM) product, Salesforce has also expanded into the "social enterprise arena" through acquisitions.[3] It is currently ranked the most innovative company in America by Forbes magazine.....So how do you know if you're on the right track? There are two ways to check (In my opinion):
- Go to your community profile and see if your name is SteveMo.
- Since we can't all be SteveMo then look at your total answers and your best answers. Divide your best answers by your total answers and see what you get. We should all want our profile numbers to look something like this:
